This magnificent home from the golden age of Hollywood had great bones but desperately needed an update. Naturalwalls worked with the new owner to re-imagine the spaces and install a custom formulated interior wall finish that accents the massive feeling of the structure while keeping the spaces warm and inviting.
Natural stone was used in the kitchen as a backdrop for the stove. A barrel vaulted ceiling was constructed as a nod to the grand history of the building.
Details such as this iron grated window are what give these old buildings their charm. Naturalwalls created a plaster finish that could be applied in a thick, undulating manner to add character to the interior surfaces.
The palette was kept neutral with an eclectic blend of old and new elements to give an understated but funky vibe.
Stain glass windows in a long hallway create a glowing walk between bedrooms in the afternoon.
The children’s bedrooms are playful with some extra dashes of color.
The exterior is finished with an earthy texture and colorwash. An interesting mix of plantings and furniture continues the eclectic theme of the interior.
